Whole-Home Remodeling in Eastchester, NY

Westchester Whole-Home Remodeling Service Serving Eastchester

Full-house renovations in the Town of Eastchester, built to the Town’s inspection schedule and design rules by one accountable team.

When Small Projects Add Up

Many Eastchester homeowners start by asking about a kitchen, then a bath, then the floors. When three or four projects are on the list, doing them together usually saves time, avoids repeat demolition and gives the house one consistent look.

A whole-home plan also lets us fix what’s hidden: undersized electrical service, old supply lines and missing insulation in exterior walls.

Eastchester’s housing runs from early 20th century colonials to post-war capes and split-levels. Each has its own weak spots, and we look for them on the first walkthrough so the budget covers what the house actually needs.

One Look From Room to Room

This modern kitchen with flat-panel grey cabinets, stainless appliances and wide-plank oak floors is a Guardian project. Carrying the same flooring and trim through the main level is one of the biggest benefits of renovating the whole house at once.

We select finishes for every room at the start, so the kitchen, baths and living spaces feel designed together.

The Eastchester Inspection Path

Framing

Inspected before insulation goes in.

Insulation

Inspected before drywall.

Gas and electrical

Gas pressure test; electrical by an approved agency.

Final

Smoke and CO detectors, then the certificate.

Exterior Changes and the ARB

Eastchester’s design review applies when more than 30 percent of the front elevation changes, not counting the roof. If a whole-home renovation includes new siding, a new entry or a reworked facade, we prepare elevations and photos for the Architectural Review Board and Planning Board.

Interior-only renovations skip that step, which often shortens the timeline.

Eastchester Whole-Home Remodeling FAQs

Will my whole-home renovation go to the Eastchester Architectural Review Board?

If the work changes more than 30 percent of the street-facing elevation (the roof is not counted), the Town sends it to the Architectural Review Board and Planning Board. Interior-only renovations usually stay with the Building Department.

What inspections does the Town require?

Eastchester publishes an inspection schedule. It includes framing, insulation before drywall, a gas pressure test, electrical inspections by an approved agency and smoke and carbon monoxide detector checks before the final certificate. The Town asks for 24 hours’ notice.

Does Eastchester cover Bronxville and Tuckahoe too?

No. The Villages of Bronxville and Tuckahoe have their own building departments. The Town Building Department at 40 Mill Road covers the unincorporated parts of Eastchester.

How long does a whole-home renovation take?

It depends on scope and whether the layout changes. We give you a written schedule after design, including permit review time, and update it as inspections are passed.
