Does my house need landmark review?

Only if it is a designated landmark or inside a designated historic district. In that case, exterior work can need a certificate of appropriateness from the Yonkers Landmarks Preservation Board in addition to the building permit. Most Yonkers homes aren’t affected, but we check before design.
